Hi, I’m Michel Ann, owner of The Sugar Maple Market.

We are a faith-based, family-run home business created to support small businesses, churches, ministries, and families with the everyday tools they need to show up professionally, serve well, and grow with confidence. 

What started as a small creative business has grown into a place where we can help with both printed products and practical business support. Why The Sugar Maple Market?

The name The Sugar Maple Market is personal to me.

It goes back to childhood, family, and a piece of property I loved long before this business ever existed. My parents planted sugar maple trees there, and as a child, those trees felt like mine. I loved them, named them, and carried that memory with me.

When this business first began, the name felt sweet, simple, and southern; like a little market filled with creativity, handmade pieces, and meaningful gifts. But over time, as the business grew and changed, the name became even more fitting.

A sugar maple is known, in part, by what it produces. It begins as a small sapling; young, tender, and lovely. Over time, it grows stronger, standing through wind, weather, and changing seasons. As it matures, it produces something sweet, useful, and meant to be shared.

In many ways, that reflects the heart behind The Sugar Maple Market.

Throughout my online presence, I will from time to time share pieces of my heart and testimony.  We all have a story to share, and I firmly believe that both the beautiful pieces and the ugly pieces of mine have shaped who I am today. The highs and lows have made me who I am, helped to shape my heart toward serving others, strengthened my faith, and reminded me that it is only by the grace of God that I am who I am and where I am today.

The Sugar Maple Market has grown out of family, faith, creativity, experience, and a desire to serve others well. Today, it is more than a business name. It is a reminder of where I come from, what God has carried me through, and why I want to use what I have been given to help others build something meaningful.
